Hmmm, a cup of tea might have made the $20 night walk worthwhile!

Not only slugs and snails, and puppy dogs tails. we were promised a huge range of exotic animals - mammals, marsupials, reptiles and birds - from the Arnhem Tomb Bat, to the Yellow-footed rock Wallaby, we were assured we would be in for a fauna feast that would leave even the likes of Sir David Attenborough in disbelief. A trail more natural than nature itself - a trip more beautiful than a flamingo flying in front of a beautiful sunset - an adventure more exciting than Christmas morning. Yet the trail was about as interesting as the name Derek, wildlife as diverse as you might expect at a landfill site. I have to give the man credit - the mouse hiding in the tree stump was cute, as was the small frog next to the man made swimming pool (no doubt the next group were told this was a natural lagoon) but to have to let his pet pig out (who incidentally has dug up every piece of turf in a 50 mile radius) after failing to show us the ringtailed possum he stole the name of, and leading us to a plastic insect when the ones he told lore of were just in his head the group was feeling a little cheesed off with the $20 per person fee. But at least the cheese would have delighted the mouse.
